John Good info. I used to really like firefox, until I started using Chrome. Firefox just seems to take up so much memory.

On a side note, the link at the bottom – “Click Here to add to Twitter and RT” the bit.ly url is incorrect. The included url does not include the y in bit.ly

I will definitely try some of these out.

TY glad you liked the list. Yea I have been on FF for years, and lately it has been driven me crazy.

But I have alll my info here, it would be such a pain in the butt to move to another browser.

Also thanks for the heads up on the broken link, lol all fixed now.

Great list of useful plugins but you missed my fav one easy comment firefox extension… I love it.. and Im sure you will also love it :)

  • http://www.johnpaulaguiar.com John Paul

I actually use EC but couldn't find a good picture for it, and I had another add-on that I use even more, so it didn't make the list. Should of did my top 16 list :)

I was really impressed with the way that Zemanta finds additional content, but the additional code snippets that it generates and includes was a deal breaker for me.

The others like the Link Analysis tool and tab mix plus are outright winners in my book.

  • http://www.johnpaulaguiar.com John Paul

I agree that Zemanta input extra content, but I just remove it like the reblog button and the extra info they add when you add Related posts.. but other then that works great and saves me alot of time.

Tab mix plus is great since I always have like 30 tabs open at a time..lol

I use some of these and I love them. Add ons are one of the reason why I love Firefox so much.
    I have 2 questions:
    1. How do you use Zemanta, I understand it gives you relevant images or video, but you still need to check copyrights, right? One of my bigger worries when it comes to my websites is that I am very careful not to use something that I am not allowed to.
    2. What about Screengrab, how do you personally use it, for what?

  • http://www.johnpaulaguiar.com John Paul

I like FF for the same reasons.

If the image is online, then it is free to be used.. so no copyright issues. But Zemanta will find you images from search, so no copyright issues there either.

Screengrab is if you want to take an image off your site ot another site.. cool tool.

    Hi John,
What a great post indeed! I am using most of your tools but I seem to missed the best one; Zemanta (best one for me. lol). Thank you for sharing.
And yes, I am getting crazy lately with Firefox too, but I still can’t leave it.

  • http://www.johnpaulaguiar.com John Paul

Glad you like the post Rose. Yea FF can get a lil annoying lol but overall it still has to much to walk away from still.

  • http://bivori.com/ Suresh Khanal

Ahh! It appears it’s been quite some time I’ve not used Firefox. Once the Chrome supported extensions, I’m rather using Chrome for long. With your post about useful extensions I’m again tempted to revert to Firefox!

  • http://www.johnpaulaguiar.com/ John Paul

Yea, I think Chrome has come a long way and I use it alot more now too. But I still use FF as my main browser. I think im just used to it and have it set up just the way I like, it’s hard to leave it haha

  • http://bivori.com/ Suresh Khanal

That’s perfectly fine John. It is often convenient to use the tools that’s we’ve mastered. I preferred Chrome just because it is less memory hungry for my uses :)

  • http://marcwillow.blogspot.com/ Marc Willow

Oh wow so helpful! I always use Firefox, but actually I never read about all these plugins. Thanks for sharing!

  • http://www.johnpaulaguiar.com/ John Paul

    They are all great Marc.
