Have you ever plan a week’s activities out only to be hit with 100 little annoying hiccups that leaves you drained with little on your list accomplished?

That is the week I have had lol But I was able to find 200 follow friday people.

On top of that, I was hit a few times with the same question over and over this week that has moved me to share my views here.  follow friday

The Question?

When is the best time to tweet?

Short Answer?

The best time to tweet is whenever you are available to tweet and be ready to engage behind those tweets.

The Wake Up Answer?

The best time to tweet is whenever you are available to tweet and be ready to engage behind those tweets.

Focusing on the best times to tweet should NOT be you priority. Your priority should be to tweet whenever you can and be ready to engage with people from any activity that those tweets bring in.

Tweeting at the best times of the day WITHOUT decent activity and engagement WON’T bring you big success.

BUT…

Tweeting with decent activity thru out the day and being available to reply and engage people WILL bring you success regardless of the time of day.

If you think that tweeting at 9am, 12 – 1pm and 4-6pm only will magically help you get noticed and shared more is ridiculous.

I do agree that tweeting anytime before 4 pm is smart, but that is as far as I will go with choosing times to tweet. You need to share and find what works for YOU!

Now the other issue with “best time to tweet stats”  Is they tell you when the majority of your followers are on at certain times of the day. But they can’t tell you if the followers that are on at those times are people that would, could or have ever tweeted you before.

Ex: almost all the best time to tweet stats say that tweeting after 9pm isn’t good. Yet I get awesome results when I tweet from 10 – 1am, and I have for over 2 years.

Bonus tip:

If you have been tweeting to the same 5,000 people for over a year, then there is a VERY good chance they have seen your stuff. But for whatever reason they have not tweeted you.

Tweeting at the best times of the day won’t help you get more shares from these followers.

This is why it is smart to continue to grow your following.
