Top 10 #FollowFriday Favorites

The Follow Friday post is back… Finally!  Did you miss me? haha probably not, but I’m sure you miss the opportunity to connect with the 10 great people I share each week.

So I decided to add to the list and also include My Top Influencers each week to give you a few more people you should have in your Twitter community. follow friday

To compile my Top Influencers I will be using the Commun.it service. If you missed that review see it here.

Big News

Now you know about the new Follow Friday post layout, I want to share something important to me and ask for your support in getting the word out.

Yesterday my interview on the National Kidney Foundation’s website went live… you can read it here or click the imageKidney Disease Doesn’t Stop Self Made Business Man

kidney foundation interview

Don’t let the ridiculously large image of my face scare you off lol  If you get past that you will read my personal story, the good and the bad.

Now, I never ask my followers to “share something” of mine, but today I am asking you to help spread that post out to all your followers on Twitter, Facebook, Google+ and anywhere else you can think of.

My friend @annelizhannan said it best…

Sharing the story isn’t about sharing me, it is about sharing my story with the people that are going thru it now. People that are going thru it even worse then me. letting them know that regardless of their situation right now they can move thru it and do anything they want.

Letting them know that if I could work thru it.. an average to bad high school student, an architecture and community college drop out, a stubborn hard headed guy can do well, then so can anyone in the same situation.

Today I am asking you Read The Story and then Share The Story!

To make it easier to share, use the tweet below:

Thank you so much, John for your continuous support through various
channels. I’m really happy to be featured in your superb blog (FF
series) again. Have a great weekend. :)

Happy to have you on Heather and TY for the support on Twitter :)

  • http://www.wineidrink.com/ Ken Lee

I have to say that most of these must follow twitter accounts are
just far too busy. I feel that with all the follow tweets on top of
everything else it would clog my feed up too much. As soon as
someone starts tweeting #followfriday etc with other gunk they get
un-followed.Sometimes less is better, or am I on my own with this
    one?

  • http://www.johnpaulaguiar.com John Paul

    Your on your own

  • http://twitter.com/TheRedheadRiter The Redhead Riter

John, I just read your story and I am so moved. It made me cry. You
know how I am…just a walking tear duct waiting to happen. I am so
happy that you didn’t let it beat you and eventually got a new
kidney! You are amazing and an inspiration! When I first started
reading your post, you wrote, “Don’t let the ridiculously large
image of my face scare you off.” I have to admit, I laughed out
loud. I was going to make a joke about running a contest to guess,
“Why is John holding his head?”   :o )~ Thank you so much
for including me on your list. I feel honored to have met you on
Twitter. You’re interesting, funny and quite savvy!  I’ll be
tweeting the heck out your suggested tweet.  ;o) mwah*

I appreciate you including me on your list of #FF favorites and
influencers but I am truly moved that you captioned me with ‘my
friend’.  Influence may be waning or fleeting and favorites
can come and go.  A friend is a commitment of trust and
support. You had my support when I read your personal story of
fortitude in the face of grave illness and earned my trust when you
demonstrated your dedication to helping others in like
circumstances. I am therefore humbled and honored to have you
reciprocate when I merely reiterated facts and shared them.Your
    friend, Anneliz

Thank you so much John, truly honored to be listed. I really
appreciate your effort to compile this. Also, not forgetting to say
I’m inspired by your story, you’re a fighter! Very brave. God bless
    always~

  • http://www.johnpaulaguiar.com John Paul

haha yea not sure why they used such a large pic lol I laughed out
loud, so it’s ok that u did. A contest would be hilarious tho :)
and thank u for the support and possitive words.. It was a mess to
go thru but I think me and my business are better for it in the
end. I added you to the list because you are a great Twitter friend
and sharer and happy to have met and connected with you… Sharing
the suggested link would be awesome, since it’s not about me but
using my story to help people that may going thru something
similar. That’s the goal anyway. TY :)

  • http://www.johnpaulaguiar.com John Paul

You’re welcome Ching, well deserved to be on the list, your using
Twitter perfectly, and I’m happy to be connected with you :) I’m
glad you enjoyed my story and for the support :)

  • http://www.johnpaulaguiar.com John Paul

I called you a friend because every time I look you are there
sharing openly or taking the time to leave positive comments, and
now with the support of my story and the fact that you “get it”
that it is not about me, but using my story to build awareness is
just GREAT! That is why you are a Friend now, not just a follower,
    or favorite. TY Anneliz :)

I did come up with a few reasons why you are holding your
head. The Top 5 Reasons John Is Holding His Head In His Avatar 5.
You’ve got a headache from eating ice cream too fast. 4. You’re
saying, “Ay, caramba!” because you smashed your finger. 3. You just
remembered that you forgot to write a post. 2. Another spammer DM’d
you on Twitter. And the TOP reason that I think John is holding his
head in his avatar is… 1.  You just smashed a mosquito on
    your head. LOL

  • http://www.johnpaulaguiar.com John Paul

lmaoo ..That’s hilarious. ALL good reasons to hold your head,, but
since I used to be a Simpsons fan I have to say #4 is my fav You’re
saying, “Ay, caramba!” because you smashed your finger.
