Is Social Media Bad For Your Health?
That’s has been a question I think more and more people have been asking themselves and depending how you look at it, the answer is yes and no.
Social Media is one of those great things that if done correctly and in moderation will be a huge benefit to your blog or business.
BUT…
If done in correctly, or if it is taking up so much of your time that you are forgetting or ignoring to do other important tasks, then it will end up hurting your blog or business.
Are you addicted to social media?
Are you addicted to getting more attention and shares?
Are you addicted to wanting to be in the “cool kid clique”?
Are you so obsessed that social media is now affecting you mentally and physically in a negative way?
So today the question is, is social media bad for your health too?
That’s what this Infographic by Fix.com goes into and explains pretty well.
Here is one fact from the Infographic…
“66% claim itβs difficult to sleep or relax after checking their social networks.”
Now I will be honest, this used to be me, I would be like “let me jump on quick and check things out” next thing I know, it’s 2 hours later lol
Be honest, have you ever lost sleep because you were on Twitter or Facebook INSTEAD of getting to bed?
Crazy right? To be losing a huge amount of sleep, just to be on Facebook.
Fix goes into a lot more detail in their Infographic below, so read it, I mean really read it and understand what your reading, and have the b***s to make changes where needed.
This is your health, no amount of money or “internet fame” is worth affecting your health in a negative way.

I can stop using LinkedIn and Twitter anytime I want to. I’m just not “ready” yet. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it. π

Social media is the blessing for the modern age. But it’s really bad for our health and it takes most of time from the student and young generation as they are spending lot’s of time in social media.

Yes, if used in moderation it is a great tool. But once it because a habit, or an addiction, that is where the troubles begin.

JP, work social, then take extended breaks. Attachments cause suffering, but balanced folks do fine on social. Thanks!

I agree Ryan.. get in, get things done, and get out and you will be fine. You have to learn to control SM, and not let it control YOU.
