Boring Feature On The Warrior Forum That Will Increase Blog Traffic

Posted by in Blog, Blogging

Want To Increase Your Blog Traffic?

First I want to apologize for not sharing this sooner with you.

But this has been one of those things I have done for so long to promote my new blog posts that I don’t even think about it, I just do it and keep moving.

It wasn’t till maybe a year ago where I thought… “shit this has been working for so long, I need to share it”

Yet more important tasks and posts have come first and blah blah blah

But like they say “better late than never”… Right? :)

the warrior forum can increase traffic

This is the shortest post I have ever written and shared, but it is also probably one of the most helpful to you if getting attention and traffic to your blog is important.

Think of it like this…

“Even the largest avalanche is triggered by small things.” by Vernor Vinge

Have you heard of the Warrior Forum? It’s probably the BIGGEST forum on internet marketing, marketing, making money online etc…

It is safe to say that all of the top marketers online today were or still are members.

I have been a member since 2009 or 10 I believe.  I have read and learned a lot of ridiculously helpful things on there, BUT I’m not that active compared to many others.

But what I did learn about Warrior Forum back in 2011 was how to use it to get eyes on my blog posts.

How?

By using the boring, usually forgotten “blog” feature that is available on pretty much all top forums.

Simple right? Never overlook simple.. I have built my blog and business by “simple. haha

That’s it, I add my new posts to the Warrior Forum blog and it gets from 150 to 1000 views.

Below I share how I add my posts to the blog to best help me increase my blog traffic. I also share  a few screen grabs of posts I have added over the past 4 years to give you a real world view of how well this works.

How I Add Posts To The Warrior Forum

Here are a few things I do that I have learned work best over the past few years, adding a post takes about 3 minutes.

1. I change up the title of my post.

Warrior forum has BIG SEO juice, so changing the title gives me 2 chances to grab the click if we both land on page one of Google.

2. I keep the preview snippet to no more then 3 – 5 lines.

This seems to be the best amount to give them enough info to want to read the full post.

3. I use a full url for the active link.

Just some added link boost for that post.

4. I sometimes do an anchor text link.

Again for added link boost to the post.

5. I post it and leave it alone.

Once the post is on the forum, I leave it there to do it’s thing, I don’t share it anywhere.

My Posts From 2011 To Present

I am sharing 2 posts for each year that I have been doing this. 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015.

I’m doing this to show you that this has been working for a long time and it is STILL working nicely.

What You Can’t Do

There is only one thing I have found you can’t do and that is posting self promotional or review posts.

They will always be deleted by Administrators, ALWAYS so don’t bother trying.

The Wrap

Even though this post is about posting on the Warrior Forum, it will work on any popular forum that you are a member of.

Just make sure your content matches what the forum niche is and you will see results.

The other reason I shared this with you is to show you there are many ways to get people to see your posts and get an increase in your blog traffic. You just have to be creative and try things out and see what works.

    Well done JP!

Just logging in to Warrior now for the day….since I’m active again there for the first time in like 3 years this is perfect timing.

Thanks so much dude for the idea!

Nice man, glad the post hit you at the right time.

Let me know how it works for you Ryan over the next couple months.

JP, you may want to modify the post a little bit. The method you described here is NOT quite free 😉 Since 2009 the free members cannot post on their blogs anymore. They have to upgrade to War Room paid membership 😉

Adrian, I’m a free member, so Maybe I was grandfathered in. Plus this isn’t JUST about warrior forum, it is a technique you can use on any forum, like I mentioned in the post :)

Thanks for the heads up Jp rock on!

TY Robert, hope it helps man.

    Hey John Paul,

I didn’t think you could post blog posts in forums. Granted I haven’t been active in a forum in years so I don’t really know the rules anymore but they are all different I’m sure. I thought that was more along the lines of link dropping. Good to know that by just sharing snippets of it that you can entice them into checking out what you share.

So when you said you don’t share the post anyplace else that means not on any of the other social media platforms? You just share that particular post on the forum or just that particular headline? Just wanted to be clear.

Thanks for letting us know about this one because one of my goals this year is to be more active on forums. Just trying to get in front of a newer audience.

    Thank you.

Adrienne, most forums give you your own blog where you can post anything you like.

I choose to post just a 3 – 4 sentence snip just to keep away from dupe content.

That snip size seems to work well, enough to get their attention, but not enough that they feel they don’t need to read the full post.

Sorry Adriene, when I said I don’t share ti no other place, I meant once I psot on that forum.. I don’t take that “forum” post and share it anywhere else. that way if it gets say 300 views, I know all those views came from ONLY the forum.

That post I add to the forum IS shared other places.

    Hope that makes more sense.
