I normally write about the service and share what I like and don’t like, today I want to do that, but I ALSO want to share a video walk through I had with Steven from eKco.

ekco review sell videos online

The walk through was for my benefit, but because he went into such great detail and was doing things in real time, I think that having you watch that video will be the best way I can show you the power of eKco.

On the video I also pop in and ask questions coming from a Bloggers, Marketers and Entrepreneurs view point and how I will use it and probably how you will use it too.

Now remember the video is unedited and was initially made for me to reference when I did the review.

User Experience Research – 30 Statistics You Should Know – Infographic

Today I want to share a user experience research and statistics infographic with you created by ExperienceDynamics.

They share 30 stats to help you deliver content better and develop better design ideas.

Let me start by saying that you should be mobile by now, you should have mobile in your mind when you create a website, when you design and send emails when you create ads or landing pages.

Learn from my own mistake of not optimizing this site yet.

It takes time to rebrand a website and design, and it has taken me and my designer much longer then Id like… BUT it will be done soon.

This is where our parents advice of  “Do as I say, NOT As I Do” applies nicely. :)

The infographic is long, so let’s get right to it. Let’s start with a few of my favorite stats.

1. 79% will search for another site to complete the task.

6. 52% of users said a bad mobile experience made them less likely to engage with a company.

10. 2/3 of mobile consumers are looking to make a purchase that same day.

25. 60% of consumers feel more positive with a brand after consuming content from it.

Consumers want easy, fast, helpful, and quality information. They want information delivered to them when and where THEY want it.

Here Is The User Experience Research and Statistics Infographic.

This should become a bookmark for future reading.

Top 3 Ways To Sell Digital Goods Online

Top 3 Ways To Sell Digital Goods Online

3 Ways To Sell Digital Goods Online

I think one of the goals for bloggers and marketers when they get online is to sell their own stuff, eBooks, eCourses etc…

I know for me, selling my own stuff was a BIG goal for me and in 2010 I reached that goal when I launched my Twitter Dummy guide.

I was a complete newbie, but I didn’t care, ignorance was bliss. haha

It took a lot of work to get finished, and refinished and finished again. I’m a perfectionist, plus I didn’t want my first product to be crap, so I “finished” that guide about 6 times before I finally let it fly :) SELL DIGITAL GOODS ONLINE

No matter how much work it was, and how stressful it was, there was nothing like having it complete and launched.  Selling something you put together is a beautiful feeling, probably what artists feel like.

The real bonus of selling your own stuff?

The money you make, you can’t beat 100% of the profit in YOUR pocket.

Back then you didn’t have all the choices you have today to help make selling your stuff online much, much easier and faster.

If you have always wanted to sell something of your own online, than I say… Do It!

With all the great services out here to help you sell it, you just need to produce it and you will be up and selling in hours.

To help you find the best of the best services to help you sell your stuff, I wanted to put this list together of the 3 services I have used or tested personally.

My Top 3 Choices To Sell Digital Goods Online

SeLZ

sell digital goods with selz

Selz gives you a simple and powerful way to sell items on your Facebook page and your blog, they even have a WordPress plugin you can use.

Selz sets itself apart because it’s a shopping cart and payment processor combined.

While most competing platforms charge a flat or monthly fee and also require sellers to open a merchant account or work with a third-party processor like PayPal to complete purchases, Selz only charges a transaction fee and issues weekly payments for completed sales.

One of the best things I like about Selz, is how easy it is to setup and use even for newbie bloggers and marketers.

In-page widgets or “buy now” buttons can be embedded in blogs, and social platforms including Twitter, Facebook and Pinterest that allow you to complete sales of physical items, audio previews, digital products and even consulting services without leaving the page.

Selz also makes it easy to connect with current and potential customers to help spread the word about your store. Presently, Selz enables you to integrate with MailChimp, Campaign Monitor, and AWeber.

Features I Like:

The ability for buyers to purchase without being redirected away from your website to purchase.

Easy to sell digital products like eBooks without all the PayPal headaches.

Selz includes free file hostiing, video or audio preview, and automated delivery.

Let’s you setup a store front with it’s own domainname, great for people with no website.

You can also do pay what you want.

They offer an easy to use WordPress plugin.

E-Junkie

e-junkinie sells good online

E-junkie a powerful and flexible shopping cart that is easy for newbie sellers to learn how to use,  but also has the features any online professional would ever need to run a successful online business.

E-Junkie’s main strength is how easy it is to setup, anyone can set up a new E-Junkie account and be selling products online in less than an hour.

You can use shopping cart and buy now buttons to sell downloads and digital goods on your website, eBay, and other websites. Files are automatically delivered securely and quickly to the customer.

They also offer a decent affiliate system that is easy to understand and set up giving you the ability to have other people promote and sell your products.

I used E-junkie to sell my Twitter Dummy Guide a few years back and was happy overall with the setup and affiliate system, even though the affiliate system is not perfect.

Features I Like:

Store your files securely on their server.

The shopping cart boasts near 100% uptime.

Buy now buttons are a simple copy-paste into your site.

Calculate shipping & packaging automatically

Manage your inventory automatically.

Create & manage affiliate program for all your products.

PayLoadz

sell your goods with payloadz

PayLoadz is a service that helps you sell downloadable products such as eBooks, art, music, software, and more. Their service will handle the payment and delivery to your customers in a secure way so that your digital products are not illegally downloaded.

As a marketer that has sold digital products online before, I know the importance of having an easy system to work with that automates all of the hard work.

All you need to do is set up a Paypal account and connect it with PayLoadz. Then you can set the item name and price for a product, then just the shopping cart into your site or eBay and you will be ready for customers to click your buy now button and buy your stuff.

In addition to an eCommerce solution, there is an affiliate marketing system built in. This lets you recruit affiliates and have them start selling your goods.

Features I Like:

PayLoadz system works everywhere – your site, Facebook, Twitter, their store etc.

File security is a high priority. Files are stored on the ultra-secure Amazon S3 platform.

Several payment systems like Credit cards, eChecks, ACH transfers, and existing account balances.

They offer an affiliate marketing system which handles affiliate management, affiliate product promotion, and affiliate payouts.

They have their own marketplace where sellers’ products are listed.

You now have no reason to not reach that goal of selling your own goods online.

It doesn’t matter which of the 3 you use, they will all help you get your product online and delivered to your customer in as little as a few hours even for the complete beginner.

6 Alternatives To PayPal You Should Try

6 Alternatives To PayPal You Should Try

Alternatives To PayPal To Try

If you have been online long enough then you have used PayPal to either sell something or to buy something. Chances are you have seen the best and worst of using PayPal.

Most people I know, me included, have a love/hate relationship with PayPal.

When they work, they work really well, but when they don’t, it can be a big pain in the ass to deal with.

Ok, let me say this before I go too far. alternatives to paypal

This is not a PayPal bashing post, because overall I am happy with their service, can it be better? Yes, but it could be a lot worse too.

This post is about sharing some alternatives to PayPal that you may not know are out there and work really well.

All of the alternatives I share below will work well to buy or sell goods or to send or receive money online. Some do things better than PayPal, and some PayPal does better.

No matter what your specific needs are, you will find one that fits you nicely.

WePay

wepay a paypal alternativeWePay.com is a great alternative to PayPal just because it seems they are more focused on your customers interests and not just their money.

Add in that consumers can make purchases without leaving your site via a virtual terminal, you can set up a store page with them for free, and it’s simple and easy to set up. It is a really nice service.

Google Wallet

google wallet a paypal alternativeGoogle.Wallet.com is safe and simple to use and has many options similar to PayPal. Things like sending invoices and credit card processing and quick transfers to and from your bank account.

This is a great option if you do a lot of online shopping, since they are mainly to be used with merchants.

Dwolla

dwolla a paypal alternativeDwolla.com is basically an online peer to peer money transfer service that works well, but both parties do need to have a Dwolla account.

They work well in many business environments, whether it be online stores or “real” storefront sin your community, but know to use it, you and the merchant must have a Dwolla account.

Payza

payza paypal alternativePayza.com is a great service for online merchants and it comes with a lot of security features that you look for to keep you and your money safe.

You can also send and receive money from over 190 countries, add funds to your account and send money to other users.

Authorize.Net

authorize paypal alternativesAuthorize.Net has been around forever, like back when AOL WAS the internet lol

But there is good reason why they have been around for so long, they are reliable, trusted and a safe payment service. You can’t argue with a service that has well over 375,000 merchants.

Oh and it seems they are big with the Porn industry, well this is what I heard :)

Selz

selz alternatives to paypalSelz.com is a new service I have been looking at and I really like what I see so far.

Mainly, they are a great option for marketers, start-ups, entrepreneurs or bloggers who are looking to sell products and digital downloads safely and securely from their blog, website or Social Media platforms.

Wrap Up

All 6 services I just shared are all great alternatives to PayPal.

No matter what your needs are, sending money, receiving money, making purchases or even selling your goods, you will find that one of the services above will give you everything you need.

Now you know, PayPal isn’t the only game in town, so if for whatever reason you dislike PayPal, you now have plenty of good options to go with.

Blog Marketing Strategy For Super Successful Blogging

Blog Marketing Strategy For Super Successful Blogging

Have A Blog Marketing Strategy?

As a blogger today, if you want to have any real success, you will have to have a blog strategy so you know what to do when to do it.

Before you can develop a strategy, you will first have to know what your goals are with your blog. Think about your short and long term goals. blog-marketing-strategy

If you don’t know where you’re going, then no matter how good the plan is, you will fail.

Below I share my strategy to help you grow a popular blog that will get read, shared and will make you money.

Well it will if you follow it :)

Why Are You Here

Before you start a blog you should really know a few things first.

Why will your blog exist?

What will be your blogs topic?

What are your short and long term goals with your?

Once you have the answers to those questions, it will make things like, writing content, targeting readers, finding people to connect with much easier.

Match Your Content

Now that you know what your blog is here for, it is time to start writing content to match.

Staying on topic with everything you write may be the most important thing you do with your blog, especially if you are trying to build your brand with your blog.

Example:

On the Money Dummy blog, I talk about Blog Marketing, Social Media, Marketing, Twitter Marketing, Entrepreneur help and some Inspiration thrown in.

I write content to fit those things, since those are the things I know pretty well. I do that to help enforce the brand I am trying to build.

There are many things I don’t write about on my blog, since I either don’t do them or I don’t know how to do them.

I don’t write about YouTube, since I don’t do many videos.

I don’t talk about PPC, since I don’t really know it.

My content stays on topic to the things my blog is about. So when people visit my blog, they first see what I talk about, they then find the content that matches that.

This is the best way to get first time visitors to become long term readers.

Look at it like this…

Have you ever seen a crazy post title and thought “I have to read that”?

Then you get to the post and it has NOTHING to do with the title?

Annoying right?

That is how visitors will feel if your blog says it’s about one thing, but you don’t really write that one thing.

Share Your Brain

As a blogger there will come a time when you will move from sharing what you know Free, to sharing what you know in a product or service like a blog critique.

But before you get to that point, you will have to share  A LOT of high quality FREE information.

They should come in all forms, blog posts, ebooks, videos, Q and A’s from readers.

Share helpful, fully detailed blog posts.

Write high quality ebooks,

If someone emails you a question, answer it.

If a reader asks you a question in comments, answer it.

If a followers asks you a question on Twitter or Facebook, answer it.

I covered the power of answering questions on Twitter on my Twitter Branding post, that will help drive home the power of answering questions.

To build a successful blog, you will have to give, give, give in the beginning, but the more free information you put out, the easier it will be for you to sell information in the future.

Promote That Content

I have covered blog post promotion in detail before in my 7 Step Plan To Promote A New Post.

Promoting a blog post correctly is the most important thing you can do for your blog.

Yes, writing great content is powerful, but promoting that content to as many people as you possibly can will take you blog and brand to a new level.

Strong promotion will help drive traffic and new readers to you blog, and one of the best ways to use that is when you have a service or product to sell.

Have a new ebook coming out on “dog training”?  Well a few weeks leading up to that announcement, you should write posts that fit what you new ebook is about.

Example post ideas:

Why dog training doesn’t have to be hard.

How happy you will be with a well trained dog.

Tips to help you train your dog.

This way you are sharing a taste of what the ebook will be about and getting people interested in reading your great dog training tips.

Now you take each of those posts and promote the ish out of them, “my 7 steps about will help :)

Once you do that, you will have more people reading your blog and thinking about dog training and why they need to train their dog.

You then release your new dog training book and enjoy the extra income :)

Keep Growing Your Reach

This goes for your blog readership and your social media followers.

You want to continually reach new potential readers and customers on a daily basis. If you want to have a successful blog, you will have to be seen by a lot of people.

The more people that read your blog, the more people you will have talking about your blog.

As far as social media sites, you should never settle for the targeted followers you have today, you should be connecting with new people on a daily basis.

Ways to grow your readership:

Write blog posts targeting keywords, to help grab search traffic.

Do guest posts on blogs that are related to your blog topic.

Spend some money on advertising, like banners on related blogs.

Do slide shares, press releases, articles, videos which will all help bring in new readers.

Look for and connect with new targeted people on Twitter, Facebook, Google+, Linked In.

High quality content will attract new followers.

To continue to grow your readership you will need to do everything I shared above and more.

Be creative, and find new ways to get you and your blog in front of more people.

Share Your Awesome

Who are you?

What makes you different?

What makes you stand out?

Whatever it is that makes you, YOU, you need to learn to share that awesomeness with others.

Everything in this blog marketing strategy that I just shared works, BUT it will work even better for you if you can do it all will some personality.

I know, I say that a lot, but it is so damn true that I have to keep saying it :)

Sharing your personality will help people relate and connect with you and your blog much faster.

Yes you want to share great helpful content, but if you can do it in a way that doesn’t put people to sleep is sooooooo much better.

Sharing your unique personality will also help you sell products and services faster.

If people like your content and like the way you share it, then they will automatically feel the same way about your services and products.

Example:

I loveeeee how JP writes his blog posts, I bet his product is just as helpful and fun and easy to take action on.

I loveeeee how JP shares what he knows, I bet working one-on-one with him would be easy, laid back and easy to take action on.

Once you get your readers to relax and relate and connect with you, you will be well on your way to building a blog that becomes a business.

P.S.
