First..if you are not using Craigs to promote your business or product yet, then you need to start..Now!  Even with all the changes, Craigs is still an inexpensive place to promote your business and if you don’t want to post yourself you can use one of the previous sites to find Craigs poster services.

Most cities covered by Craigs List offer a section called “Gigs”  Here you can post short-term projects of any sort. This can be especially useful for projects that require local, in-person help (like moving your office or posting flyers around town).

Use these sites to find people that you can hand off the small tedious everyday tasks that are important to your business, but don’t need your personal touch to get done.

When you are trying to make money online, your time because that much more important, so use it wisely.

Make Money Online With Time Management

When you start your own home business, one of the skills you need to be successful is  time management.

Without the right time management system, you will be running around like trying to do 10 things at once and never get any of them finished.

If you want your home business to run as efficiently, and make money online then time management is a must.

Stop Wasting Valuable Time

Good time management skills involves a few things, prioritise,managing interruptions,and the big one.. avoiding procrastination. But time management really starts with having a plan of action that lists the tasks you are hoping to complete each day …aka the to do list.

Each night I write up my next day’s action list outlining the things I  want to achieve your tasks on a daily basis. Time management training will always speak of the importance of planning your

work and working your plan.

One cool thing I use instead of sticky notes is called Stickies, it’s a desktop app that puts sticies on your desktop…very cool and keeps things neat..lol

Start A List and Use Your List

Here are some key points for getting into the habit of writing a list.

Remember the 80/20 principle 80% of things on your time management list will produce 20% of the results and 20% of the list will produce 80% of the results. A key element of time management training is to always remember this rule and work on the tasks produce the most results and make you money online.

Get yourself in to the habit of writing a list every day, try to write the list at the same time daily so as it forms a habit and leave the list on yur keyboard to make sure it’s the first thing you see the following day.

As hard as it may be at first, but be persistant and stay on task, and you and your business will be successful.

Not As Simple As You Think

Many home business owners make the mistake of thinking time management is something that is easy to accomplish from the jump. Unless you are amazingly gifted at multitasking and are an expert at allocating tasks to every minute of every day, “I’m not either of these ?”  home business time management is going to take some getting used to.

The good news is once you start and stay on it daily for a few weeks it will become and habbit and a part of your everyday business.

Manage Your Time To Make Money Online

When you work for yourself, you have to do everything from business setup and marketing to making calls etc..

Knowing how much time to schedule for each “job” is critical. When you work for someone else, you wont make money if your online playing solitaire on the computer and surfing the Web at your leisure ”I know this alll to well lol”

It’s YOUR  business, every moment that is not dedicated to the operation and success of it is money and opportunity wasted.

Avoid Time Management Pitfalls

There are a number of time management pitfalls that almost every new home business owner falls in to. Make sure you avoid the most common mistakes:

Not completing the most important tasks of the day first thing in the morning.

Not having a list for each and every business day.

Over-scheduling to the point that it is impossible to stay on track

Putting off the more difficult tasks and focusing on tasks that come easily.

Allowing personal calls to interrupt your daily time management schedule.  “set your work time and don’t let personal time intterupt”

Sliding from Internet tasks and surfing web pages for personal use.  “you know who you are..:)”

Be realistic with your time management and try your best to set a start time and finish time for each task.

Another thing I do to keep me on point is to reward myself for completing tasks.  “I get a DD Ice Coffe once I finish my morning calls”

Bottom line:  make a list, work your list, complete hardest things first, reward yourself…Rince and Repeat Each Day!

Ok today I am going to vent a little bit.

See I’m new to the blogging world and I have been slowly learning a lot from numerous top bloggers out there and believe me I am very appreciative.

But the problem I ran into last week was because I was taking a top blogger for his word, and followed his advice, which was BS!

I followed his advice on the Social Spark and promoting their crap thru CPC, and how much money you can make and how it wasn’t worth his  time to make up to $500 a day to invest his time, etc..

He talked about using Twitter marketing services like RevTwt to put out your link.

Now here are the issues

Social Spark sucks ass they are sooo tight on click qualifying that you will never make any real money.

I had over 800 “invalid clicks” with only 17 “possible qualifying clicks” that was before they canceled my link without telling me.  So I continued to pay for clicks thru RevTwt.. not cool!

Also I got this email from SP a week after my links were magically gone “We truly appreciate your enthusiasm! However, we have noted that you obtained many clicks for your CPC Opportunities from an outside marketing platform, http://revtwt.com which is in violation of our Terms Of Service sect. 3.8.”

The issue with this is,, you remember that top blogger?  He specifically said he used Revtwt and other Twitter marketing sites to promote his links..hmmm maybe the blogger and SP should review TOS and the post BEFORE it goes out?

This was all a complete waste of my time and money, because I chose to trust the “top blogger” and thought he was talking about his true efforts not a paid post.

So I contacted revtwt and explained my problem and I was refunded the remainder of my money within the hour.

They have been great!

Now this is NOT a promotion of revtwt, this is just me telling you that I was happy with there service and customer service and that I would work with them again.

End of the day I wasted money, time and lost respect for a blogger I had been following for the past 6 mnths.

Live and learn people, and when you read a post, ask yourself is he talking from experience or is it just  a really well written paid post

If you are using a signature file at the end of article, remember to use your most relevant keywords as your anchor text for your link so that you can improve your SEO rankings

Also it is better to link back to a page or post on your blog instead of just the main blog url, this shows Google that your sharing actual content, not just your site url.

So you think it’s easy to make money from a home base Internet business?  Well it can be if you get your mind and your home based business setup correctly in the beginning.

Make your goals and plan achievable too. If you know nothing about the Internet business you want and your not interested in doing your research, and your not willing to spend a a little money to start, then setting goals of creating a million dollar home base Internet business isn’t achievable!

Like I have said, , it takes hard work and persistence to make money online from a home business, but with with a plan, some hard work, a little money and little bit of luck anyone can be successful.

Having a clear goal and plan will be the first step to making money online from your home base Internet business.
