Blogging Tools That Help You Succeed
Every blogger has tools they like to use to get different tasks on their blog completely. Doesn’t matter what you need to get done on your blog, there is more than one tool to help you do it.
Now, this is a good and bad thing.
Good – Because no matter what the task is, there is always a tool to help you get it done.
Bad – There are always to many tools to help you get your task done. haha
Blogging tools are a great way to grow your blog, and get things done faster, but spending
all your time trying new tools is a waste a lot of your time.
Once you find the tools that you like to use and know how to use them, then stay with them, since a tool get’s even better when
you really know how to use it.
Below is my list of blogging tools many successful bloggers use every day to get things done and grow their blog.
Google Reader

Google Reader – This is the best blogging tool you can use to manage all your RSS feeds from blogs you like to read. This will save you a huge amount of time, since now you can scan thru all the headlines all in one place to find the things that you want to read, or save to read later.
Windows Live Writer

Windows Live Writer – Bottom line this is my favorite tool for putting up my blog posts quickly. The amount of features available within Live Writer is just awesome and it’s a FREE Tool.
If you are a newbie blogger that still posts thru WP dashboard, then do yourself a BIG favor and look into Live Writer, you will see just how easy it is to use. This another one of my blogging tools I use everyday.
PollDaddy

PollDaddy – Adding polls or surveys to your blog is a great way to get reader feedback in a interactive way. With PollDaddy, you can setup polls with unlimited total votes per month and surveys with a maximum of 100 respondents per month.
FeedBurner

FeedBurner – Burner provides you a simple way to share your RSS feed on your blog, and includes all the data you want to know about your feed, like subscriptions and clicks. It also includes features to make your RSS feed more interactive by adding social media links and information.
Google Analytics

Google Analytics – I’ve shared this tool before, and I still use it and recommend it to bloggers. GA may not be perfect, but it is the first place I go to look up all my traffic stats.
quantcast

Quancast – When you want to know everything about your blog visitors then quantcast is the place to go, and I mean everything haha.
The amount of info you can learn from quantcast is scary and very useful.
Hootsuite

Hootsuite – I can not say enough about Hoot, I use this tool every day all day. Now it has some annoying hiccups here and there, but for a FREE tool, and a tool that comes with so many helpful features, you can not do better then Hoot to save time and be more efficient with your promotions.
everystockphoto

everystockphoto – You should be adding images to every post to make it more interesting for your readers, and help with search. This tool is FREE and has a huge amount of images in all catagories you can think of. This is the first place I go for images.
iStockPhoto

iStockPhoto – Now if you have a little money to spend, then this is where you can go. I use ISP to get images for website graphics mainly, you can also get images for blog posts here too. But with so many free places, I would stick with everystockphoto above for blog posts images.
Delicious

Delicious – If you want to bookmark websites you like to read, then Delicious is the place to go. You can bookmark you own posts for a nice high PR backlink, then bookmark websites you like to read and you can search great websites that other people have bookmarked.
Skype

Skype – I’m new to Skype and already I have seen the power it has. I have used it to message with bloggers around the world, have recorded phone interviews and for video chats. Find me @call.johnpaul
In the past few months, Skype has become another one of my blogging tools I use everyday

Twitter – Well what can I say, this lsit wouldn’t be complete if I didn’t add Twitter. Out of all the blogging tools, Twitter is the one that has the most power for bloggers. Every successful blogger is on Twitter and you should be too. Find me @JohnAguiar

Facebook – What can I say, I have a Luv/Hate relationship with Facebook. I know the power it has for a blogger, but I also see how over used it is for marketers. I see it becoming a Myspace in a few years.
But if you have the time to invest, and invest it in the right way, then FB is a powerful tool for every blogger. Find me @JohnPaulAguiar
YouTube

YouTube – I joined Tube over 2 years and never added one video. I have been more active on Tube the past 5 months and have enjoyed some nice backlinks, and traffic from Tube already, and it is growing everyday. Find me @JPAguiar1
Videos are the best way to share your message and Tube is the best place to do that. But I will say, Tube has become harder to use effectively. Years ago you could put up a video and see views pour in, today you will have to promote and network on Tube to get real results.
flickr

Flickr – This is one of those blogging tools that can be used for a few things. I like to use flickr to find an image for a blog post and I use it to add images of my blog posts “more about this tip coming soon
”
Digg

Digg – Is a social news site for users to discover hot news, submit stories and vote on them. This is useful for spotting trends and also find blog post ideas.
Digg is also a blog promotion tool. Every Digg users goal is to get on the front page. If you can get your blog post to the front page of Digg, you may get tens of thousands of visitors in a short period of time. Find me @MyMoneyDummy
Stumbleupon

Stumbleupon – Is a social news site similar to Digg, you can submit your blog posts and people will read and vote on your post, the more votes you get the better your chances to get to the front page. Just like with Digg, getting on the front page is your goal.

PayPal

PayPal – I think we all luv and hate Paypal, but the reality is, they are the best online payment processor you can use. They are easy to use, easy to send and receive money.
You can have a PayPal “Buy Now” button on your blog ready for sales in about 3-5 min It’s hard to beat that.
There is my list of blogging tools that every successful blogger uses.
Using these blog tools will help you on your way to growing a successful blog and business.
