3 Ways To Sell Digital Goods Online

I think one of the goals for bloggers and marketers when they get online is to sell their own stuff, eBooks, eCourses etc…

I know for me, selling my own stuff was a BIG goal for me and in 2010 I reached that goal when I launched my Twitter Dummy guide.

I was a complete newbie, but I didn’t care, ignorance was bliss. haha

It took a lot of work to get finished, and refinished and finished again. I’m a perfectionist, plus I didn’t want my first product to be crap, so I “finished” that guide about 6 times before I finally let it fly :) SELL DIGITAL GOODS ONLINE

No matter how much work it was, and how stressful it was, there was nothing like having it complete and launched.  Selling something you put together is a beautiful feeling, probably what artists feel like.

The real bonus of selling your own stuff?

The money you make, you can’t beat 100% of the profit in YOUR pocket.

Back then you didn’t have all the choices you have today to help make selling your stuff online much, much easier and faster.

If you have always wanted to sell something of your own online, than I say… Do It!

With all the great services out here to help you sell it, you just need to produce it and you will be up and selling in hours.

To help you find the best of the best services to help you sell your stuff, I wanted to put this list together of the 3 services I have used or tested personally.

My Top 3 Choices To Sell Digital Goods Online

SeLZ

sell digital goods with selz

Selz gives you a simple and powerful way to sell items on your Facebook page and your blog, they even have a WordPress plugin you can use.

Selz sets itself apart because it’s a shopping cart and payment processor combined.

While most competing platforms charge a flat or monthly fee and also require sellers to open a merchant account or work with a third-party processor like PayPal to complete purchases, Selz only charges a transaction fee and issues weekly payments for completed sales.

One of the best things I like about Selz, is how easy it is to setup and use even for newbie bloggers and marketers.

In-page widgets or “buy now” buttons can be embedded in blogs, and social platforms including Twitter, Facebook and Pinterest that allow you to complete sales of physical items, audio previews, digital products and even consulting services without leaving the page.

Selz also makes it easy to connect with current and potential customers to help spread the word about your store. Presently, Selz enables you to integrate with MailChimp, Campaign Monitor, and AWeber.

Features I Like:

The ability for buyers to purchase without being redirected away from your website to purchase.

Easy to sell digital products like eBooks without all the PayPal headaches.

Selz includes free file hostiing, video or audio preview, and automated delivery.

Let’s you setup a store front with it’s own domainname, great for people with no website.

You can also do pay what you want.

They offer an easy to use WordPress plugin.

E-Junkie

e-junkinie sells good online

E-junkie a powerful and flexible shopping cart that is easy for newbie sellers to learn how to use,  but also has the features any online professional would ever need to run a successful online business.

E-Junkie’s main strength is how easy it is to setup, anyone can set up a new E-Junkie account and be selling products online in less than an hour.

You can use shopping cart and buy now buttons to sell downloads and digital goods on your website, eBay, and other websites. Files are automatically delivered securely and quickly to the customer.

They also offer a decent affiliate system that is easy to understand and set up giving you the ability to have other people promote and sell your products.

I used E-junkie to sell my Twitter Dummy Guide a few years back and was happy overall with the setup and affiliate system, even though the affiliate system is not perfect.

Features I Like:

Store your files securely on their server.

The shopping cart boasts near 100% uptime.

Buy now buttons are a simple copy-paste into your site.

Calculate shipping & packaging automatically

Manage your inventory automatically.

Create & manage affiliate program for all your products.

PayLoadz

sell your goods with payloadz

PayLoadz is a service that helps you sell downloadable products such as eBooks, art, music, software, and more. Their service will handle the payment and delivery to your customers in a secure way so that your digital products are not illegally downloaded.

As a marketer that has sold digital products online before, I know the importance of having an easy system to work with that automates all of the hard work.

All you need to do is set up a Paypal account and connect it with PayLoadz. Then you can set the item name and price for a product, then just the shopping cart into your site or eBay and you will be ready for customers to click your buy now button and buy your stuff.

In addition to an eCommerce solution, there is an affiliate marketing system built in. This lets you recruit affiliates and have them start selling your goods.

Features I Like:

PayLoadz system works everywhere – your site, Facebook, Twitter, their store etc.

File security is a high priority. Files are stored on the ultra-secure Amazon S3 platform.

Several payment systems like Credit cards, eChecks, ACH transfers, and existing account balances.

They offer an affiliate marketing system which handles affiliate management, affiliate product promotion, and affiliate payouts.

They have their own marketplace where sellers’ products are listed.

You now have no reason to not reach that goal of selling your own goods online.

It doesn’t matter which of the 3 you use, they will all help you get your product online and delivered to your customer in as little as a few hours even for the complete beginner.

Apart from the “create your own product” option, these are all new to me. Thanks, I’ll take a deeper look, given that I’m also planning on blogging for money!

Hermann, I wouldn’t “blog for money” because you will be pretty unhappy. Blog about something you enjoy or have knowledge in and grow it THEN make some money with that blog.

Hey JP, eJunkie is the one I’d recommend. The GUI is a bit odd at first but once you get used to it, it’s very reliable.

It is a great service Ivan, I used it and liked it, but their affiliate system needs a lot of work.

I used E-Junkie for a few years and overall I had a good experience. It is very reliable, as has been pointed out, but I agree that the GUI is a bit odd. DPD and SendOwl are very similar options that are much more user-friendly, and from the experience I have, both of them are reliable as well. Personally, I would use either over E-Junkie.

Marc.. I’ve had same experience with E=junkie.. great reliable service, but needs to be updated and more user friendly.
