I had pretty quiet week on Twitter, busy busy on a new project that I will be sharing soon

Quiet, but still productive and I connected with a few great people.

My Top 10 Twitter followers today we have a few “newbie” tweeters with low follower numbers. Yet these people “get” Twitter, they get they have to connect, engage and share to get the real benefits of Twitter.

More proof that it’s more about the community you build then the numbers you have.

So I hope you reach out to these followers and enjoy the community building with them as much as I do

SEO Mistakes To Avoid

SEO is the best thing you can focus on with your blog, yes some say it’s a waste of time or that the results take to long or it’s to much work…whine whine whine

Look at it like this, even if your efforts take 2-4 weeks to show up, but then they stay their for years to come..was it worth it?  Hell Yes it was!

Some of my keywords I rank for, I am beat by blog posts that are 2-4 years old. That person did some quality SEO work to get those results..a little work now, to have rankings you can enjoy for years?..Works for me!

SEO changes monthly it seems and 2011 is no different and changes come with SEO mistakes you need to avoid.

There have been some changes to the SEO world recently, some good, some not so good, Google has changed mostly for the better, and they plan to continue on this change for the long term.

Follow Friday Favorites

Today I will be starting a New weekly Follow Friday post.

I have been doing #followfriday almost every friday since I got on Twitter. If you have read some of my Twitter posts, you will know that I think it is an important part of your overall Twitter efforts.

I first started doing #ff as a way to say Thank You to anyone that Re-Tweeted my posts or that I had conversations with for that week.

That worked for awhile, but got to busy to continue. I then did #ff for people that Only Re-Tweeted My posts and who I had conversations with for that week.

That worked for awhile.. it worked very well for me, bringing me thousands of new followers and ranking me pretty high for all Twitter members world wide.

Google Slapped My Blog

Today I wanted to give you all a heads up to something that happened to my blog this past week, since the new Google change took effect.

If you don’t know yet.. Google has made a direct effort to now remove all sites/blogs that have duplicate content, which in theory will help ma and you that write “real” content to rank higher.

Sounds all good, Right?

Well like many of Google’s changes lately, the good guy gets screwed a little bit too.

The Problem

The past 3 weeks I was doing some keyword work for 2 keys I wanted to rank for, I noticed after 4 weeks the results weren’t any better

Surviving As A Blogger

The other night I was watching the tv show called “I Shouldn’t Be Alive”, I have been watching that show for over a year now and realized the other day just why I like it.

Mainly because it shows you just what the human mind and body will overcome when pushed.

Also because as a blogger I can relate to what they go thru to survive… I know that comparison is a little dramatic haha but below I will show you just how that show can help you be a better blogger.

But first I want to say that this post came to me after I was thinking about my next post. I had about 5 half thought thru ideas, but nothing was really finished.  So later that night I was watching “I Shouldn’t Be Alive” for maybe the 100th time haha
